You have before you issue no. 100 of Revista CIDOB d’Afers Internacionals. But this is not just any normal issue: for a Spanish-language magazine that specialises in international studies, reaching its centenary of publications is an outstanding achievement in itself, but beyond that, the journal has succeeded in establishing itself as one of the essential publications on this topic for readers in Spanish.

To celebrate issue no. 100, and at the same time commemorate 30 years of the existence of Revista CIDOB d’Afers Internacionals, we have created a very special edition. Titled “International studies in 2012: major topics for debate”, this issue features a series of valuable contributions from a range of internationally-renowned authors. The articles included in this issue take the reader on a fascinating journey through some of the most important topics in the world of international studies and ideas today.
