Young Tunisian women and men, between marginalisation and recognition

This article analyses the way young people, and particularly young women, in post-revolutionary Tunisia position themselves in the sociopolitical environment in a context of ongoing change. It therefore endeavours to reveal how these actors claim their real citizenship, in spite of the invisibility and refusals of recognition to which they are subject. Starting from the confirmation that young women are those most exposed to the different forms of injustice and inequality in different spheres, this reflection seeks to understand the way young people in general and young women in particular react to the different forms of exclusion, inequality and marginalisation to which they are exposed; specifically, to experiences of marginalisation understood in terms of lack of recognition.
