IMMIGRANT CITIZENS SURVEY

The Immigrant Citizens Survey  is a comparative survey, which was conducted in 15 cities in 7 European countries. It aims to give a voice to immigrants to ensure that their views are taken into account in the public debate on migration and integration. Although immigrants are at the epicenter of these debates in many Member States, they hardly enjoy any visibility. And even though in these debates polls are frequently used, these measure the opinion of the general population, but few surveys are specifically aimed at immigrants. This survey seeks to analyze the needs, contributions, perceptions and attitudes regarding various issues affecting immigrants legally residing in different European countries. Their results are intended to assist those developing and implementing integration policies at the state level and at the European level.

The aim of the survey is to verify whether integration policies meet the needs and expectations of immigrants living in Europe. Within this project a report was published with the main findings of the survey at the European level, written by the King Baudouin (Brussels) and the Migration Policy Group (Brussels), and translated into Spanish by CIDOB.
