“What’s going on in the world?” Korea after the South Korean elections

On the occasion of the presidential elections in South Korea on 3 June 2025, and the publication of the book 'Corea. Una Nueva Historia del Sur y el Norte', Casa Asia, CIDOB and Ático de los Libros are organising this new session of the 'What’s going on in the world?’ series of conferences, in which the authors will be debating the most pressing issues in current affairs in Korea.

On the occasion of the presidential elections in South Korea on 3 June 2025, and the publication of the book Corea. Una Nueva Historia del Sur y el Norte, Casa Asia, CIDOB and Ático de los Libros are organising this new session of the 'What’s going on in the world?’ series of conferences, in which the authors, Víctor D. Cha and Ramón Pacheco Pardo, will be debating the most pressing issues in current affairs in Korea, including the presidential elections in South Korea, the possible return of diplomacy between Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un, the position of the two Koreas in the confrontation between China and the United States and the continued success of South Korean culture. Inés Arco, researcher at CIDOB, will be moderating this session.
