War & Health. Defining the Protection of Health in War Zones

While lack of development negatively affects health and can exacerbate tensions leading to conflict, armed conflict can undermine development aims, directly and indirectly worsening human health.

Location:

CIDOB, sala Jordi Maragall, Elisabets 12,08001 Barcelona

Organized by:

CIDOB and ISGlobal with the support of Europe for Citizens Programme

The aim of this joint project between CIDOB and ISGlobal is to analyse the links between conflict, health and development from a global policy perspective. A high-level international policy conference with relevant experts, practitioners, officials from international organisations, NGO representatives and other stakeholders will be organised in order to identify the linkages between these areas and to produce a policy report that sheds light on the global policy debates and informs the current process of achieving the SDGs in the areas of conflict, health and development.
