How to measure peace and the global economic impact of violence

On Friday 18 September, CIDOB organizes a workshop with Steve Killelelea, to discuss how identifying the social, economic and political factors that help develop more peaceful societies through measuring peace.
During the session called “How to measure peace and the global economic impact of violence”, there will present the results and findings of the 2015 Global Peace Index will be presented along with an analysis of trends in peace, security and violence over the last eight years. There also will be a discussion on IEP’s approach on calculating the impact of violence to global GDP for 162 countries.
