Germany goes to the polls in a campaign marked by a deep economic crisis and a polarised debate over social cohesion, migration and the rise of the far right. February 23 snap elections will set the course of the EU’s largest member state at a crucial geopolitical moment for Europe. What is at stake for Germany and the European Union?

On 10 February, at 16h, CIDOB organises a new edition of its In conversation series with Ali Aslan, international journalist and former policy and media advisor to the German government, and Carme Colomina, Senior Research Fellow at CIDOB, who will analyse the impact of this election and the challenges ahead. The dialogue will be introduced by Pol Morillas, Director of CIDOB.
