“What’s going on in the world?” Three thinkers on the future of Europe

What is at stake for Europe in an increasingly uncertain world? How can it rethink its identity, its place in the global order and its capacity to influence? In this session of the ‘What's happening in the world?’ series of conferences, we bring together three of the most influential thinkers on Europe to analyse the major challenges facing the European project in a context marked by interlinked crises, geopolitical tensions and questions of identity.

Through a conversation with Hans Kundnani, author of Eurowhiteness (Hurzt, 2023); Nathalie Tocci, author of La grande incertezza (Mondadori, 2023); and Pol Morillas, author of En el patio de los mayores: Europa ante un mundo hostil (Debate, June 2025), we will discuss Europe's internal contradictions, its strategic dilemmas and the path towards its geopolitical maturity. Three essential voices to understand where Europe is, and where it could be heading.
